Abstract

A cardiovascular event may be caused by
hypertension, a chronic illness that ranks as the
third most serious public health concern in
industrialised nations [1, 2]. Uncontrolled
hypertension affects about one billion
individuals worldwide, and by 2025, it is
projected to impact 1.5 billion persons [3].
Hypertension is remarkably influenced by both
hereditary and synergistic variables, such as
stress, alcohol use, sedentary lifestyle,
smoking, and obesity [4]. The prevalence and
morbidity of hypertension have prompted the
promotion of several pharmacological and
therapy classes for its management.
